However, little is known about\nhow leadership styles of women in STEMM relate to this\nunderrepresentation. This article discusses findings from a survey\nexamining how 61 women in STEMM define leadership and describe their own\nleadership styles. Using content analysis and drawing on Full Range\nLeadership Model factors, findings suggest that women define leadership\nand describe their own leadership styles using transformational factors.\nHowever, there was no consistency in how participants defined ideal\nleadership or how they defined their own leadership styles. This finding\nunsettles ideas of distinctly gendered leadership styles.
